During the workshop you will learn wonderful things
All who has some experience of wet felting is welcome to join!
Natalya is teaching in english.
Sketch and calculate
The course starts with sketching your bag design. You decide on the size, the length of the handles, whether to add pockets and decoration.
You then create a template and calculate how big it needs to be to take into account the shrinkage of the wool.
Working the wool
Natalya shows you how to effectively work with wool. How to make overlays and the best way to work with short fibers.
You will get tips on how to shrink the bag to get a symmetrical end result. She will show you how to use a sander to felt, but also the process of rolling the wool.
Designing the surface
You will learn a clever solution to work the bag handles to the desired length developed by Natalya.
Depending on how you choose to decorate your bag, you will learn techniques such as shibori, “watercolor with wool” or creating 3D elements.
After the workshop
By the end of the course, you will have made a bag. You will also have learned how to use a single template to make many more models.
But that’s not all!
You will also have access to a video lesson to make a backpack or a carpet bag.
et us know if you want to buy the beautiful bag lock for that project.
